President's Day in Northeast

2/21/2012

On Saturday, February 18th, the Northeast ambassadors took part in the 4th annual "We Love our Presidents" walk through Northeast Minneapolis.  Northeast has a special relationship with the presidency since about 30 streets in the area are named for Presidents Washington through Hoover.  The walk began at Edison High school and concluded at Northeast middle school where participants gathered to ask questions and take a presidential trivia quiz.  More information about this event can be found at the event website.  The walk even got a nice little write up (along with a photo of our girls!) in the Star Tribune, which you can read here.  The ambassadors had a great time, learned quite a bit of Northeast and Presidential history, and look forward to participating again next year!

So true of you while pointing out the warmth and depth of the issue. The subject matter was a sensitive one which bounds one to have a thought on it for a while.
